Religious Education assists parents in providing a foundation for the life-long process of faith formation for their children. Through the teachings of Jesus Christ, Sacred Scripture, Church doctrine and tradition, sacraments, prayer, parish life and lived experiences children will come to know and love the Lord as true disciples.

Liturgy of the Word for Children |
Throughout the year Children's Liturgy of the Word is occassionally offered at various masses. Children will be called forward by the priest after the Opening Prayer and led out of mass by a trained catechist. The catechist will proclaim the Gospel to the children and help "break-open" its meaning in an age appropriate way to aid children's understanding and help children come to know how the Gospel message applies to their life. Children will then be led back to the main liturgical celebration to rejoin their family. This early practice of listening and reflecting on God's message fosters a habit that will support the child's faith development throughout their life. Children's Liturgy of the Word is intended for children in pre-K through third grade.
